The Edmonton Oilers have clinched their first Western Conference Championship since 2006 after defeating the Calgary Flames 5-3 in Game 5 of the series. The Oilers, who swept their first two rounds against the Los Angeles Kings and the Winnipeg Jets, are set to face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final.

Connor McDavid had two goals and two assists for the Oilers, while Leon Draisaitl had a goal and an assist. Zach Hyman, Tyson Barrie, and Evan Bouchard also scored for Edmonton.

The Oilers will now have a week to prepare for the Stanley Cup Final, which begins on Monday, June 12 at Rogers Place. The Avalanche, who defeated the Oilers in the Western Conference Final in 2006, are considered to be the favorites to win the Stanley Cup this year.
